UPCOMING EVENTS

Re-enrollment for the school year 2010/2011 is on-going. Please view and print the two forms above.

Volleyball Open Gym - July 27, and 29 - 8am-10am.  Official Practice begins Monday, August 2, 2010.  Practice for JV Volleyball begins Monday, August 2nd from 4pm-6pm.  JV practice will be Mondays - Fridays from 4pm-6pm. 

Super Summer Day Camp continues until August 13, 2010.

Summer Office Hours are 9am - 3pm, Monday - Friday

First Day of School - August 25, 2010.

Newsworthy Notes

On Friday, May 28th, Hendersonville Christian School presented diplomas to eleven graduating Seniors.  A number of these students received academic awards, and all have higher education plans as follows:

Danie’l May was this year’s Valedictorian and a North Carolina Scholar.  Danie’l plans to attend UNC/Asheville, where she is eligible for a number of scholarships. 

This year’s Salutatorian, Paige Allen, will major in Education/Special Education at North Greenville University.  Paige is the recipient of the Southern Baptist Association Scholarship and the NGU Dean’s Award.  She is also a North Carolina Scholar. 

Filip Chocholak, an exchange student from Slovakia, will play basketball for Erskine College while pursuing a Business Administration degree there. 

Taylor Cole will attend Western Carolina University and major in Communications.

Colton Freeman received a $5,000 scholarship from North Greenville University, where he will enroll in the Sports Management program.

Ivy Hsu, an exchange student from Taiwan, will return to her native country to pursue a degree in Business Administration. 

HCS 2009-10 Student Body President, Cody Miller, plans to enroll in Blue Ridge Community College’s Computer Science program before transferring to a four-year college. 

Joseph Naber, Senior Class President, will pursue a degree in Automotive Technology at Blue Ridge Community College. 

Ashleigh Owens has been awarded $18,000 from the Presidential Scholarship and Dean’s Award scholarship programs at Erskine College, where she will major in Biology. 

Stephen St. Jacques plans to attend Blue Ridge Community College before transferring to a Bible college, where he will enroll in a pastoral degree program. 

Also planning to attend Bible college is Jordan Williams, who will pursue a degree in  Pastoral Studies.
